Hi,

I'm afraid that your installation is counterfeit. Its not possible for an HP OEM to validate as genuine on a retail motherboard, unless an activation hack is used to bypass the genuine check.

Many BSOD analysts won't bother trying to locate the cause of a BSOD since the crack employed may actually be the cause of the problems, and mask the true symptoms of the BSOD. My recommendation is to purchase and install a genuine Windows 7.

Regards,
Golden

That would help.....then activate the installation, and post a new MGADIAG report so we can be sure everything is above board.

Select option two. If any problems are found, run the scan 3 times and immediately
reboot the computer after each scan.

Also run chkdsk in an elevated command prompt to check for file system errors
and bad sectors on your HDD:

  • Click on Start>Type in search cmd
  • Right click cmd and Run as Administrator
  • At the command prompt please type: chkdsk /f/r
(There is a space between chkdsk and /f/r)

   Tip
Run these tests overnight, pay particular attention to #3 in tutorial if errors occur

Unplug your USB HDD's and any other non-essential peripherals from the computer and
check to see if the issue remains?

Any reason why your HD Audio Controller is disabled?

Hi

Thanks for that detailed response!

I have removed avast and instaled MSE (nothing was found with a full scan)

sfc
Code:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

chkdsk - was fine and no memtest errors?!

In terms of my HD Audio Controller, I didnt know it was actually disabled ?

Hi,

Maybe Asus xonar disabled it?

To enable your HD Audio Controller please navigate to:

1. Start>control Panel>choose Icon view and click on Device Manager
2. Locate Sound, Video and Game Controllers and expand.
3. Choose HD Audio Device (it should have an arrow indicating it is disabled)
4. Right-click and enable.

Check for any issues after enabling.

What was the result of memtest?

Please run sigverif.exe:

1. Click Start, then type in the search box sigverif.exe and click OK.
2. The File Signature Window will open. Click Start to run the tool.
3. Once complete if it says "Your files have been scanned and verified as digitally signed", then
that is okay.
4. If it finds unsigned drivers, click Advanced on the File Signature Window and click View log.

Post up the log in your next reply.

Also your latest logs show nothing definitive, so I suggest we run :ar: Driver Verifier
to scan for any corrupted drivers which may be causing problems, this program works by
running various stress tests on drivers, in order to produce a BSOD which will
locate the driver; run for least 24 hours. The system may become laggy:

Before commencing, please :ar: Create A System Restore Point

   Note
If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into :ar: Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode.
Disable Driver Verifier. Now boot normally again, and try enabling DV again.
If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, Restore the system to the point you made earlier.

Hopefully this will locate any misbehaving drivers.

cheers

Dave

Hi,

Strange, you may have to click the "view" tab in device manager and select "show hidden devices"

Post a screenshot.

What was the result of sigverif.exe?

Cheers

Ive found the Audio driver that was disabled and have enabled it - Clicked on update driver and it says

High Definition Audio Controller - "The best driver is found..." but there is still an explanation mark

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

For the HD Audio Controller, you need to right click and enable it, not update the driver :)

Please run Driver Verifier now.

Hi,

Which drivers are you enabling in Driver Verifier?

I suggest you stress test your Video Card, so we can rule that out as a cause:

Stress Test with Furmark: :ar: Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Monitor your computer temps whist running the test.

For monitoring heat of the system, you can use Speccy or HWMonitor:
