I hope I can get some help. I purchased a HP Envy 17 laptop and have had BSOD problems since the beginning, it was purchased in November 2010. I sent it for service and the motherboard was changed but same problems. BSOD is random, I may be browsing the net, using excel or not using it at all.

I have put up with this issue for 6 months and really want to get it fixed.

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit (SP 1) - OEM version.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks!

Hello,

I'd start by installing the latest ATI drivers from here: AMD Graphics Drivers & Software
Code:
atikmdag.sys Thu Sep 09 00:02:51 2010 (4C885C6B)
Nothing I've seen in the report gives me assurance that it has been the cause of your BSODs over the past 6 months. though.

Start on some hardware diagnostics:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Run all three Prime95 tests: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html
