Windows 7 - BSODing randomly

The windows starts BSODing randomly.
and whenever I reboot my PC it sometimes shows me the startup repair window and cannot automatically repair it.

I would remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials.

I would also run the system readiness tool and then Update to SP-1

I already removed Avast few months ago for BSODing on the welcome screen, I tried looking for Avast files but i couldnt find anything.

I also installed MSE, low resource usage and maximum protection, love it.

I will try running the aswclear5 you linked, but i already tried running one of these and it asks for navigation to the avast folder which is already removed.

the BSODing seems to have stopped after installing MSE, I still didnt managed to remove any additional Avast files so ill just wait few more days and see how things are.

Sometimes when we think we've removed some software we really haven't. There are always some residuals left behind especially in the registry. Some registry cleaners do a decent job but not always. I would recommend some sort of registry cleaner, Ccleaner has one built in and is free and does a pretty good job. Then there is "regedit",....warning editing the registry can be detramental to the PC. Once in the registry, under HKEY_LOCAL_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Open each one and click on software and look for files of apps that are in question and delete them, a reboot maybe in order.

You attempted to remove avast on 6/28 and got most of it. This snap shows 7/19 with at least one component still remaining. The crashes are of the same type you had with all of Avast installed.

Oh wow nice insight, i will look for that file and try to remove it.

will also look into regedit for any of the Avast entries, not getting anything other then MSE anytime soon that's for sure.
