Windows 7 Build 7601 Is Not Genuine Error

Hi, So I wish to apologize for posting a similar issue, but i did try some of the solutions suggested on previous posts with no success. Sadly i am not very good with computers so it may be a problem on my end.
I am currently getting an error that my copy of Windows is not Genuine, when I have been running it for a little over a year now, but after an update is, I believe, when I first got the error. Please assist me with the thought that i have only basic understanding of computers. I can do a lot, i just don't understand tech terms.

The installation is counterfeit - you have a machine built before the release of even Vista, let alone Windows 7, which claims to have had Win7 installed at the factory.
It's likely that an update removed the hack which was holding the install together and circumventing the Activation requirements.

For what version and edition of Windows is the machine licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case?

From what you say, it seems that you bought this machine 2nd-hand? after a year, it's almost certainly too late to claim a refund from the vendor - you may well have to either use the manufacturer's Recovery media to revert back to the original OS, or purchase a new license for Windows.
