windows 7 cd/dvd drive

I upgraded to windows 7 and i cannot locate my cd/dvd drive my laptop is hp pavilion dv9627cl and tried drivers from hp bt did not work at all..any help please

You haven't told us your full specifications so we don't know who your optical drive manufacturer is.

On the basis there may be compatibility issues between Windows 7 and the drive in question, you might want to check this list.
