'I know I'm necro-posting, but I'm too interested to not voice my support for an awesome theme idea.Anyone notice how uncreative most of the VisStyles are for Windows 7 so far?
Windows XP had some excellent and varied themes.
Anyway, yeah; I think what the guy was asking for was a Windows 7
classic theme that took advantage of the
Aero features. That would be really nice indeed. Huge fan of the classic look. Oooh, or Mac OS 9.
I'd do it myself if I knew how to make / compile visual style themes. Does anyone know if there's software for that, or is it all manual image editing? '
You are most definetly not 'necro-posting' ( is that grave digging BTW? ) I support throughly of gravedigging , posts that are unanswered but still important to the person that posted , gravedigging can be very helpful =P . >urk< I would hang myself if I ever used Mac OS 9 again...windows 98 was a much better operating system...But yes Mac does have some nice looks. ( Like the icons at the bottom of the screen that you can scroll through, that is cool. ) As for what I was originally requesting ( being able to change your start button in the classic theme ) Kishan on the windows club forum has implemented that into his program ( ---thats what he told me he was going to do anyways. ) It would be nice to have a program that completely overtook the windows 7 theme settings and brought up the nice dialog you got in win 98 when you clicked properties ( like this
http://www.bltt.org/assets/images/access/win98/thumbnails/display_appearance.gif )
And then you could change all the theme settings and combine all the aero and classic themes at will.
---For some reason my posts are displayed twice on some computers ( and not on others)...yet when I try to edit it, theres only one post...thats odd.
