Solved Windows 7 clean install

I have a retail copy of Windows 7 Pro which includes booth a 32 bit and 64 bit DVDs.

I have Windows 7 32 bit pro installed and I am considering doing a clean install to install the 64 bit version.

What is the best method of performing a clean install?

The update went smoothly it did several hundreds updates but when it got to Cumutive Security update for IE 11 for Windows 64x based system (KB3058515) I had a message it did failed to update with an error code 80092004, followed the error code on the Microsoft support site but there was nothing there that helps.

Do you have any ideas?

Reboot the machine, try again, if it still fails try again in a few days.

It installed fine on my machine on the 1st try, so keep trying

Did you open up IE11 and use it ok ?

I only have security software installed, no other applications installed.
Yes IE11 works fine.
IE.09600.17843
Update version 11.0.20 (KB3058515)

Watch for Updates queued on Start Menu Shutdown button with a !, which can require only a Shutdown to install.

Have you activated your system?

I have had times when I.E. won't install until the system was activated properly.
I don't know why.

Also make sure I.E. is set as default browser. At times that helps.
Once again I don't know why. It just seem that Microsoft likes Microsoft.

Thanks activating solved my problem and also the little reserve Windows 10 icon appeared.
