Windows 7 clean install

Hello there

I'm thinking of doing a clean install of windows 7, but want to avoid all the windows 10 and telemetry updates that are geared for windows 10 upgrade.

Does anyone have a definitive list of updates to avoid, or will install only critical updates get around it completely.

Thanks for that, I will do some research and if I get a list then I will post it.
While I understand why lots of files need to be downloaded to check if a computer should or can upgrade, I wish Microsoft would just have an opt out to all W10 related updates in the upgrade panel itself.

Nice to know Brian as I have just go my old laptop out and the 10 is sitting there with that 10 option at least I can keep and eye out for this lot.

Thanks for that it looks a very comprehensive list I will look each update up, I am going to clean install 7 next week, I will give feedback on all the options I try, some GWX updates are dated as early as March this year (though the actual KB update may have downloaded later) it does show that Microsoft have thought this through, but only from their perspective.

Another update that came out today, I hid it, It has Windows 10 in it`s description. This update in my opinion is not needed by Windows 7.
