Please reread my original post, I had to add some Important info in it for an issue that may cause some files not to play.
It's not related to VCP but it does mess with the functionality it can give. Same issue was in Vista and it's still not fixed and MS was well informed of it.

Also do I need to reinstall Realplayer Lite or Alt and Quicktime Lite (or Alt)?
