Hello all,
I have a windows 7 computer and a windows 10 computer in my homegroup. Both machines indicate that they are included in the homegroup. The windows 10 machine sees both computers (listed in the file explorer). However, the windows 7 computer sees the windows 10 machine, but does not see itself (in the file explorer).
I have tried everything. Researched the Internet, read posts, spent hours to now avail.
Can anyone please help.
Thank you.

Have you come any closer to finding an answer? I think you should be a bit more elaborate about your situation. I see no reason Windows Explorer would simply not show itself in Explorer.

Have you tried sfc /scannow

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. The computer that I am on does not show itself under "homegroup" in File Explorer. But it does show the other computers in the homegroup.

Sometimes Homegroup gets glitchy, and some people say don't use it.

I use it with Win 7, 8.1, and 10.
I've had a few times where things didn't work right.
I deleted the current homegroup and created a new one.
That fixed my issues, ymmv.
Not a great answer/solution, but something to consider.

With the way W10 does updates and OS version upgrades, i think that can cause issues, that's just my guess.

I deleted the homegroup many times. Tried everything. Horrible effort by Microsoft.
