Hi there,
Just got a new workstation at work with Windows 7. It's the first such computer in our office and we set it up and added it to the network domain today.
We can see all the servers and access all the shared network files, but there is no internet connection. I've tried accessing the internet using Internet Explorer (the page cannot be displayed) and by pinging various websites (the requests time out).
In the network and sharing center the internet appears to be working (that is, the line from the computer to the network domain is blue as is the line from the network domain to the internet). Our other computers are all seeing the internet.
We have no Anti-Virus programs set up on the computer yet; I've tried turning Windows Firewall on and off, disabling and even uninstalling the BroadCom Ethernet device and reinstalling/reenabling it, editing Internet Options, unplugging the office's cable modem and the switch ... all to no avail. Anyone have any fresh ideas?
