Windows 7 Content Freezing .. Where to go and what to do first?

I probably didn't set the instructions right because there is not blue screen showing up when I press that. So I obviously didnt do it right. I just now pressed the FN, CTL and f12 and nothing happens so did I not set it up properly?

I just did a search on my computer for ".dmp" to see if anything was found and one file from yesterday was created:

The file was called "$_WMIC_recoveros" and here's the content inside the file:

Thorsen I don't know why it's not working. I went over the steps again to the link you gave me and realized I skipped over step 1 on creating that file in the regedit but after checking the steps again I restarted and I still can't get the Blue screen to show. Im pressing down the FN and CTL then press f12 twice but no blue screen comes up?

Im sure I followed the steps right as there werent many. But I dont know?

I ran this report from the 'System health report' and found some tests that failed in the 'hardware and drivers' section. Actually quite a few errors after looking over it. Can you check this out? I dont know how to read it.

I didnt find anything that would point to one particular thing.

I thought of another thing to try, but dont konw if it will point to one thing or anything. Try running this and see if when you stall up it tells you what was last accessed. It might give us some insight on a specific process that is locking it up.

I have found some more info and another thing to try. Go here and update the BIOS: 24/7 Online support for HP's Home and Home Office Products - HP Customer Care (United States - English)


It was suggested in a forum post that someone had fixed by doing this.

Warning: BIOS updates can mess up your system if interupted or if you power off during the update. I think this one is a software BIOS update so it should run from windows and prompt you to restart to continue update. Follow the instructions on the page closely.

I dont know your exact model. you might need to search HP's site with your specific model number. There might be a diff update.

Here is an easy way to find your model info: Locate the Notebook Product Number or Model Number - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

When you get it go here and put in your model number: 24/7 Online support for HP's Home and Home Office Products - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

and thne look for BIOS Update somewhere in the software or drivers

Updated the BIOS update successfully Thorsen. I'll see it goes from here. Ill update this post tomorrow after working on it tonite to see any hangups or freezes. Thanks boss

Still getting hangups and freezes from the browser. damn . I'll continue to figure this shit out.
