Windows 7 crashing

Windows 7 Not responding.

Hi guys first time posting here so sorry if i get something wrong.

But here is my problem, So basically i started up my computer this morning and as i tried to click on the start button it displayed the frozen/loading cursor so i gave it a minute to try sort itself out. After a few minutes i got the windows has stopped responding error "End Process" or cancel. This has happened 1-2 times before in the past and i just clicked end process and everything would try reload itself and it would.

this time nothing happened, I was only able to move my mouse around but not click. So i restarted the computer and it did the exact same thing again. this happened twice, Then i decided to unplug all the cables and let it sit for a few minutes. Sure enough after that it worked. Although as i was typing this thread it did it again but re-gathered itself after 2 minutes.

Here are my specs:

The machine is less than a year old.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Intel(r) core i7-2600k cup @ 3.40GHz
4096MB Ram
AMD Radeon HD 6800 series
ATI Display adapter

I have also left a copy of my Eventviewer in a .zip

Welcome to SevenForums.

First, here is how to fill out your system specs:
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec (left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
“system manufacturer” block, for example,
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

Second,
Run CLEANMGR.EXE

Third,
Run CCleaner | RunCleaner button (bottom right)

Fourth,
Install CCleaner:

CCleaner | Tools icon | Startup button | Windows tab |
click on Save to text file button (bottom right side) |
accept Startup.txt as file name | SAVE button

list of SCHEDULED TASKS

CCleaner | Tools icon | Startup button | Scheduled Tasks tab |
click on Save to text file button (bottom right side) |
enter Scheduled Tasks as File name | Save button

List of INSTALLED PROGRAMS

CCleaner | Tools icon | Uninstall button |
click on Save to text file button (bottom right side) |
accept install.txt as File name | Save button


UPLOAD the startup.txt file
UPLOAD the Scheduled Tasks.txt file
UPLOAD the install.txt file.

Uncheck ALL except for:

MSC    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Security Client\msseces.exe" -hide -runkey

REBOOT!

With CCleaner, go back to the Scheduled Tasks and DISABLE all of them.

Since you have been using Torrent software, you will need to:
Run Windows Defender Offline, WDO. Use the the link in my signature.
WDO will run a quick scan.When the quick scan finishes, then run a full scan of all drives.

REMOVAL OF P2P PROGRAMS

There are signs of one or more P2P (Peer to Peer) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

As long as you are using any form of P2P networking to download files, you can anticipate malware infestations.

I strongly recommend that you uninstall:

Sorry Karl,But It's starting again except more often.
I've been trying to do my uni work, and the simplest tasks like copying folders or saving word documents is causing it to crash again..

I've decided to just do a reformat, in currently backing up important files and will proceed with the reformat later tonight.
Do you think this will help solve the issue or is this just a waste of time?

Will probably help.

Back up everything dear to your heart.

Then make a CLEAN install.

Check the tutorial index and follow the procedure there for making a clean install.
Do not deviate one iota from the procedure.l

Most problems with reinstalls are caused by people "thinking" they know what needs to be done.
Those tutorials have been written by chaps with experience with installing on literally thousands of systems.

If I sound like I preaching, then that's because I get frustrated at people not following the very, very sound and solid tutorials here.
