Windows 7 Desktop - Left Title Bar??

Hey Guys,

So I've been running Windows 7 for a year or so now, and I've noticed this on a few machines and wasn't sure if it was normal or not:

As you can see, the arrow is pointing to what looks like a title bar that is minimized n the left hand side of my desktop. Is this normal and / or is there a way to completely remove / hide it?

Sorry, I don't see any title bar where the arrow points. Try changing the desktop background color to something lighter, then maybe a screen a capture will show what you mean?

Here a better look at it. Looks like the wallpaper does not fit or the monitor needs adjusted?

What happens if you right-click on it? And what happens if you put your cursor on the edge of it? Do you get a ⟺ symbol, so that you can drag the edges?
