Windows 7 does not install update files

Windows 7 Professional 64b.

I purchased a Windows 7 installation disc in 2009 and misplaced it when I moved to Australia. Found it last week and installed it.

Downloaded its sp1 and tried to install it. Failed.
A message stated: ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE (0x80070643)

What is the problem and how to solve it?
Help, please.
