For some reason my installation of Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit) thinks there are copies installed on the system.
(I posted a similar problem in a different area and thought I had it fixed but it returned).
At one point we weren't paying attention and forgot to remove the DVD and windows tried to start the install process a second time. There is only one copy of Windows installed but everytime I reboot the Windows Boot Manager comes up and asks what OS I want to run. If I choose the first option I get an error than Winloader.exe failed to load. If I choose the second option it boots fine and everything runs properly.
We have tried all the bootrec.exe options (/fixmbr /fixboot)
Also when using bootrec.exe /scanos it says there are 0 installations. When I go into MSConfig it says there is only one installation. When I run BCDedit it only shows one installation though it does say Windows 7 Home Premium (recovered).
One person in my other post asked for an image of my Disk Management screen so I have posted it here in this thread.
We had at one point managed to get it to reboot without any trouble so I did a BCDedit /export and when it started happening again I did a BCDedit /import but the problem did not correct itself this time as it did in the past.
Is there a way that I can reformat the boot sectors of the drives or something like that and force windows to create a new one. I know there is a rebuild option under BCDedit but I am not overly familiar with it and am leary of using it without some guidance.
