You don't need to reinstall Win7, just mark it's partition (or it's 100mb boot partition if you have it) Active again, boot the WIn7 DVD Repair console, click through to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times:

When you have multiple HD's then unplug the other HD('s) when installing another OS. After install, plug back in the other HD's to boot other OS('s) via the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key.

ive already restored now but now that its restored... would it work if i used easy bcd to make them dual boot because now the windows partition will be the active partition

EasyBCD 2.0 has a MAC OSx tab on its "Add OS" function. I haven't tried it.

Again, the cleanest way to boot with multiple HD's is via the BIOS Boot order and Dell's F12 BIOS Boot Menu key. Set the preferred OS HD as first to boot in BIOS setup, then if you want to boot the other tap the F12 key at bootup to get a Boot Menu. This keeps the HD's independent to come and go as you please.

Windows-managed Dual Boot interlocks the HD's by editing the BCD and can cause trouble with an Apple OS which may not want to play well with Windows. But you can try it. Please let us know if/how it works.

ok il try that thank you il let you know how it goes

I thought you have multiple HD's on laptop because of the above reference.

Instead try installing EasyBCD 2.0 to Win7 if you have Mac OSx which is the only one it lists in Mac tab on Add OS function.

yeah sorry about that it has one hardrive and multiple partitions
