Windows 7 features blocked by policies

I am using windows 7 prof. 32 bit on my laptop. The features below in my laptop are disabled due to some policy:

1. Write USB access (I can read pen drives but cannot copy data on it)
2. SD Slot (does not even detect the inserted card)
3. Web Camera (no option to view camera / settings. However, the hardware profile shows that camera driver is installed and working fine)
4. DVD Write access. (I can read CDs/DVDs but cannot burn data on blank CDs)
5. On screen indication of volume up/down, caps lock on off etc.

I have read many articles on enabling USB write access using registry edit but the tricks did not work on my laptop.

I have the administrator login but still cannot operate any of the above features.

Can someone help?

Is this your own personal laptop or a company/school supplied laptop?

You sure this is real HIDDEN Administrator login? Or are you just logging in under your own account, and because it shows as being part of the Administrators group, you are presuming that it is the true Administrator login?

And ... I would have to agree with alphanumeric, in whenever I have seen this myself, it was always on a PC that was maintained by a company or institution -- which generally "lock down" their PCs so folks can't make changes to them.

Those restrictions sound like what a company of school may do to corporate supplied laptops. I probably should have also asked if it was bought as used?
