Windows 7 Firewall ?

How good is Windows 7 Firewall ?, I know it can be configured for out bound but what about in bound will it keep me safe ? any advice appreciated

Many users, including some IT professionals, were unaware that you could filter outbound traffic, monitor and otherwise perform advanced configuration tasks for the Vista firewall, because none of that was apparent from the Firewall applet in Control Panel. With Windows 7, Microsoft has created a built-in host firewall that is much more functional than its predecessors and now poses a viable alternative to third party host firewall products.

Hi Ciara,
yes in Windows Vista/7 firewall is much improved over XP built-in firewall and in latest versions of windows it offers very good in/outbound protection but it's not very user friendly to set it up.

have you got a router Ciara?

they'll give you a certain level of protection even before you get to windows.

Yes mickey and hardware firewall is enabled, but I like to know what is calling home

Use the ZA uninstall tool (save tool, run as administrator in Vista/7)
