Windows 7 freezes?

I've got windows 7 ultimate with all the latest updates. My computer is an acre aspire t1800 with 1 gig of ram. When ever I watch youtube, in about 5 min, it always freezes. My games run choppy and also it freezes on all websites as well. Is there anything I can do? or is my pc just not built for 7?

I think 1 Gig of ram will most certainly be not enough! I would consider upgrading ASAP.
