windows 7 freezing

hi
thought i'll make a new topic, with full details this time..
so, i'm running windows 7 ultimate, dunno what built, but i used this before also, and all worked then.
so my problem is, that my PC stops working after a few hours after restart, freezing and repeating the last played sound.
my guess is,that the motherboard causes this, cause i couldn't install my ASUS M3A motherboard at all,since compatibility mode won't install it.
have amd athlon x2 5600+
it's CD has vista drivers only, and on the net i couldn't find any win7 driver,suppose they don't exist.
(ASUS-M3A AMD 770 motherboard)
any tips how should i install it?

Perform a SFC Scan

1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow

2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

sfc /scannow

A message will appear stating that 'The system scan will begin'. Be patient because the scan may take some time

3. If any files require a replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Windows 7 DVD for this process to continue

4. If everything is okay you should, after the scan, see the following message "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"

5. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

@LE: says it found corrupt files, but unnable to fix or smthing similar.btw, i've just installed windows a few days ago.

that's one procedure to help it should not take to long if windows cant repair any files it will let you no and advise you, post the results back please

I forgot to install the updates xD hope that fixes it
had 46 updates to do, installed all of them, i'll post it if problem persists.
