Windows 7 freezing

Hi, this is not a BSOD but I did not know where to place this thread...

I had before windows vista, with crashed and froze constantly. Now I installed windows 7 and the problem stopped for a while but started over again. It looks like it is getting worse every day.

Usually it happens when I turn on my pc the first time of the day. I turn on and when I open the first program (anything: skype or internet explorer or whatever) after a few seconds everything is frozen and I have no other option then turning off the pc.

I tried today to restart in safe mode and restarting again. The pc froze in the microsoft window already. I tried once more, it froze in the welcome window. I tried once more and chose repair. After repair, the pc turn off and when I tried to turn on again, it froze after I opened the internet explorer.

I did all the procedure again (safe mode, restart), the pc froze before openning completely. I repaired once more and it is finally working now.

Please advice what information you need from me (and if possible how to get them) and what to do to make this pc finally work. Ive got the following Problem Signature message:

Run some hardware scans

1. Memtest86 - Run for 7-8 passes - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
2. Prime95 - Run all three tests for 3-4 hours each or until fail - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-hardware-stress-test-prime95.html
3. Hard drive scan usings SeaTools - SeaTools for Windows | Seagate - Both long and short tests

Also, update to SP1 - Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
