everything is ok until yesterday [8/16/2010]

my monitor doesn't recognize my graphics adapter and also my monitor.

i've installed the latest ATI Raedeon 2400 HD Pro on my comp from their site but that doesn't work.

also i've installed the graphics card installer from Acer - where i bought my pc.

also doesn't work.

i've tried several troubleshooting tips like:

System Restore
Installing/Uninstalling drivers
Change of VGA connector
[to the one's w/o video card]

Hoping someone might help!

Thanks

Go into Device Manager. Delete any references to display adapters and monitors. Reboot and let it rediscover devices. If prompted for video, use the latest drivers for the ATI.

Have you tried re-seating your video card and uninstalling all the drivers ??? When you have it pulled out see if you can see any damage to the card like blown capacitors or if it smells like burnt plastic the card might have quit on you.
Also you might try putting in a different card in to it, swop it out with another one in the office and see if on boot up the new card is found. If the new card is found on boot up I say its time for a new card.

i haven't clean my pc since i've bought it.
i really don`t have any idea how to clean the inside of PC.
and its almost 1 year to me.
could this be the reason?

~> but i didn't smell anything when i`m using my pc.

[btw, whenever i saw screen resolution and go in advance settings i always see changing of adapters]
[sometimes, ATI Radeon 2400 HD Pro, Standard VGA Adapter, or Generic PnP-Non Monitor]

just thought it might help.

Depending on the environment where you PC is you can get a lot of dust and grime in the PC tower itself my roommate has 2 cats and I have a dog so pet hair is a huge factor with our computers. I personally clean my towers fans every outer month to keep all the dust and pet hair under control but you can also have a lot of dust build up in an office. If your PC sits on the floor it will pull in more dirt into it then one sitting on a desk or a shelf and all the dust in a PC act's as an insulator and can overheat your PC I personally pull all my fans out and clean them off with alcohol and a can of keyboard cleaner. Just a word of advice don't spray the fans off pluged in to the mother board and allow them to spin. You can damage the mobo with electrical feed back from the fan spinning.
Hear is a you tube vid showing you how to clean them off

uhm. there is now a sudden change my PC.

my computer now recognizes ATI Radeon 2400 Pro HD as display adapter.
but my PC doesn't recognize my Display monitor which is Acer A1916W.

it always says my monitor is "Generic Non-PnP Monitor"

is there other way in order to recognize my display monitor?
