Greetings.

Recently I have come across "Hardware Video" errors. I sure hope this isn't anything serious as I haven't seen freezes, orveating issues or any blue screens since it started to happen'.

I'm on a 2011 Toshiba core i3 laptop that has an nvdia 315 graphics card. Two years ago I updated the nvidia drivers, which was a really bad decision.

Name of the problem: LiveKernelEvent
SO Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

WD-20160111-2251.dmp
sysdata.xml
WERInternalMetadata.xml

My laptop is of great importance to me. I've put four years of my life and work into this machine. I have valuable work for me here. Losing all of this would really, really be a BAD thing to me. Do I need to worry? Should I start backing up some of the files somewhere?

You should always be backing up your data, regardless of the hardware state of your machine. Hard drives frequently go bad without warning.

As for the laptop, the video card might be going bad. 4 years is old for a laptop in most cases. It might be getting time where you have to replace it.

But in any case, back up your data anyway.
