since my update to windows 7 i have been getting quiet a bit of blue screens. No idea why, i actually used it as an excuse to build a new computer. all new parts except my optical drives, and 4 gigs of memory.
I continue to get BSODs so i did a memtest on each stick of memory i have, one of them reported errors, i removed it and was hopeful my bsod's would stop... but nope.... 4 crashes just today... here are the dump logs, can someone please help me, i am done with this thing crashing, and i do suspect its just my luck that 2 separate computers crashed, i honestly dont believe its windows 7.

i was about to upload the file, and it crashed again, luckily chrome restored everything, including my unpublished text (this message)

Two of these were caused by hardware_disk. I would run a chkdsk follow the below instructions.

CHKDSK /R /F:
Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt. Please do this for each hard drive on your system.
When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter. Then reboot and let the test run. It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors. See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

Elevated Command Prompt:
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

CHKDSK LogFile:
Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.
Double click on the Source column header.
Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Win7) (winlogon for XP).
Copy/paste the results into your next post.

Let us know if you need help

It looks as if your hard drive or hard drive controller is causing the issue. Try updating your hard drive controller drivers, and run a test with one of these programs: HD Diagnostic

In the future, please zip up the files and upload them to this site using the paperclip icon in the editing bar. MediaFire is a real pain.

So i have been trying to find updated controller drives for my hard drives, but no luck.

Windows wont find them either....
im not even positive this is my hard drive, but heres my device& Printer Screen: View attachment 69559<br>

When i trouble shoot this is what shows up, View attachment 69560<br>
When i click install, it tells me its installing a driver for the device with the little balloon pop up. then the next bubble tells me it didnt install because no drivers were available...
Than the trouble shooter shows this:View attachment 69561<brr>

And just because, heres a capture of my device managerView attachment 69562

as i was writing this, i decided maybe i could uninstall it and let it become detected it may find it the correct way, i was wrong, i uninstalled it, and it acts like nothing is wrong, but when i scan for hardware changes, it will go back to the "troubleshoot me" icon. After i "uninstall this device" i can right click and go to properties, it tells me "this device is working properly" i guess, i will use it this way, see what happens, but if you could give me any ideas, ... please do, or look at the last post with the mini dumps and let me know whats up..? that would be great.

Bump! i dont mean to be annoying, but a dozen or more blue screens a day is quite annoying.

one thing i noticed is sometimes only one of my internal drives will show in my computer, and the other 2 dont... sometimes they do, sometimes they dont, this makes me feel even stronger it is a driver problem or controller problem of some sort.... i just have no idea how to fix it.....

newest "finding" after a little while, my computer crashes, which ive stated, but what i've been noticing, is it starts to load, the windows come up and start to swirl, they then freeze up about half way through, im not sitting here on my laptop (7 is on the desktop) its been booting for upwards of twenty mins, VERY SLOW, from the 4 seperate boxes, we are ALMOST to a solid 1 piece 4 colored windows logo.

Keep uploading the new dmps as they come.

You may try a repair install, and see if it helps.

i was thinking about doing that, because literally a dozen bsod's a day is a pain.... glad i have this laptop....

i read in multiple places the asus p5n-d mobo bsod'd a lot with xp, and it was fixable by updating with drivers found on nvideas website, i found the appropriate windows 7 drivers. and went to install it since this worked for everyone, after the install i got a blue screen before the install screen even got the chance to exit completely, (but it was a successful install)

i will post dump files when i can boot into windows, its been hanging at the "starting windows" screen, weather its a hard reset. or a software reset, it doesnt freeze, it just slows to an agonizing pace, it takes the computer close to 45 mins to fully boot, rendering the computer basically useless, luckely i got laid off and have time to mess with this.... once its booted, which it looks like its close too, i will post my most recent dumps.

so.... i just got this

""a device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught the faulty driver on the kernal stack must be replaced with a working version""

so i figure its definitely a driver issue.... as much as i dont want to i think i need to do the repair install, i was trying to figure the problem out with out that,

only problem is after i do this i am fairly confident with my luck it will not fix the problem.

As always, it's a good idea to create a backup.

Now, what is that error message you got? I am not familiar with that. If it happens again, can you post a screenshot?

I recommend downloading and installing the latest drivers for your motherboard. Search for your mobo here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

it was a blue screen with that across the top. what i had done was gone to the validate tool in windows, selected my options, and had it validate, i was following a tutorial over at another site, its on the history of my desktop, which is out of commission right now... it had said if you get a blue screen after the validate tool runs, then its driver problems, but not only that it game me that error i posted above, it was quick and then restarted, i wouldent have had time to take a picture of my monitor or anything, Well like i said i am doing the repair install now, hopefully all goes well now.... but we shall see...
