After several bouts with BSOD, I've finally come to a dead end with Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion p6510f:
Now I get the black screen and blinking cursor. The F8 key doesn't even work. I was able to run some thorough diagnosis and determine that the memory and hard drive are fine. I suspect Windows 7 has got corrupted.
I'm resigned to the idea of re-installing Windows 7 and starting from scratch, but that's a pain. Is there any way to fix the boot sector through the command prompt or another back door way to repair Windows?
Thanks,
D
