Windows 7 help!!!!

I have button problems!!! For example i have windows explorer shortcut and when i press w it goes to (w)indows explorer it doesent open it it kinnda shows me it!
and thats really annoing how to disable this?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Pressing W to go to the W section of wherever you are is a default feature and can not be disabled. Its not meant to open it as if you had lets say three shortcuts with W as the first letter it would always open the first one of them.

By the way. If you hit the Windows Key and the E button on your keyboard at the same time it will open a Windows Explorer window.
