Hello Everyone,
I'm usually verygood with installing and redoing my computer but I'm having a slight problem with my Windows 7 Home Premium Disk when I restart my computer it won't load up it will start the Windows 7 and go into my desktop

Once I try to do it the other way my computer Frezzes up

My Mother Board is ASUS M2N -MX SE Plus, ATI Radeaon Video Card, 1.00 GB in Memory, 32 Bit System, AMD Athlon Processor 4200+ 2.20GHz

I've had this computer for maybe about 3 - 4years now with no problems with it that it just needs to be redone every month or so.

The Windows 7 CD itself is scratched and it's been used on two other computer's with no problem at all and now it won't work on mine, Why?

Are you setting the BIOS, or usiing a one time BOOT menu, to boot to the DVD drive first?

If not that is the problem.
Also if you have set the BIOS to boot from the DVD look for a On Screen Prompt that says something like,
Boot from CD/DVD drive hit any key. At that prompt hit a hey on the keyboard.

Also you might want to think about copying that DVD to your hard drive and then use some of the free programs listed in the tutorials to make a ISO file of the OS and then burn it to another DVD or load it on a USB stick. That is before that original DVD get so scratched that it becomes unusable.

You may have to find another installer for your version to clean reinstall this time.

Work on getting a perfect reinstall by following these tips: Reinstalling Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums

Then save a backup image so you never have to reinstall again - just reimage the HD using the saved backup image in 20 minutes from the booted DVD.
