Ultimate is not faster than Home Premium, it just has more features. Upgrading to Ultimate will not make your PC run any faster than it is now. If you haven't done anything to your PC since you bought it now might be a good time to do some maintenance. The first thing I would do is have a look at all the bloat ware (factory installed programs) that you may never use, and think about un-installing some of them. Disk Cleanup is another option to clean out some old restore points and other files that clog up your hard drive. Doing this will also free up disk space. Updating drivers is another option. If you are tech savvy you may even want to consider just starting over with a nice clean install of windows. Just backup your important files to external storage first. There are lots of tutorials and stickies though out the forum if you need more info. If you can't find them or need more info just ask and someone will post a link.
