Hello All
Recently I did a sfc/scannow scan and it found some corrupted files. My computer sometimes working very slowly and freezes occurs. I attached SFC details. I tried to change corrupted files manually by replacing but interestingly windows did not let me to change write permisson of C:\Windows\IME\IMESC5\DICTS folder.
So I tried inplace upgrade but in compliance check , it failed and says "An error prevented a required compliance check from completing. Cancel the installation and try upgrading again."
I guess the problem is ie11 language packs
Do not know what to do... Any help would be great.

I have most replacement files for Win 7, however, your specs don't say x86/x32 or x64
please run System Update Readiness Tool below for your computer and when it completes post CheckSUR.log & CBS.log. Location: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS

Megahertz07, you are correct the word error doesn't appear. I should have been more specific.

I believe OP used a short CMD script to glean [SR] entries and produce sfcdetails.txt filtering only those line entries to the txt file.

findstr /C:"[SR]" C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt

The error entries will be in the CBS.log, or appear in SFCFix.exe or SFC /SCANNOW as un. Being that the winsxs folder files are also reported corrupt SFC /SCANNOW will fail with replacements (found some corrupted files, unable to make repairs)

scop, manually replacing system files or winsxs folders/files is a very bad idea.

So my suggestion:
- Run a check disk (chkdsk c: /f). Pay attention on the results, specially bad clusters and bad blocks.
- If it doesn't find any bad clusters or bad blocks, do a Repair Install
It will replace your windows installation and keep your programs and data.
For the updates, use Simplix Download Simplix UpdatePack 7 - MajorGeeks

Repair Install will work per Megahertz07!
Don't believe you need to go there with what I see as issues. A few dll's to replace. I should have all of them!

Which related folders? There are several for the dlls and hardlinks thereto!

As I indicated in the code box post #3 you have corrupt winsxs folders and files within them. You should never mess with system folder/file permissions for any reason (major security issue). There is a proper way, actually a couple, to replace missing/corrupt folders/files.

Please download SFCFix.exe & save to your Desktop
Download View attachment 407623 & save to your Desktop
Drag and drop SFCFix.zip onto SFCFix.exe
See example here

Post log that appears on your desktop please. If you wish open the log in notepad & observe the file/folder the permission give/take!

I'll peruse the remainder of your CBS.log in a bit.

You said no errors reported in CheckSUR.log correct?

Post log that appears on your desktop please. If you wish open the log in notepad & observe the file/folder the permission give/take!

I'll peruse the remainder of your CBS.log in a bit.

You said no errors reported in CheckSUR.log correct?
I tried C:\Windows\IME\IMESC5\DICTS for corrupted files but could not change write to folder option as the user.
I had also tried sfcfix and it generated a report that operation is successful. After that, i run sfc scannow it still gave same corrupted files. As i said even inplace upgrade is not working !!

Where did you determine what to try?
And I requested that you post a copy of the sfcfix.txt

scop thank you for the log.

Weird, replaced one folder, didn't replace the other folders. First for that.
I removed the one file that SFCFix.exe replaced from below zip folder.
Try again please. Download View attachment SFCFix.zip to your desktop
Drag SFCFix.zip onto SFCFix.exe..
Post SFCFix.txt when it appears on your desktop.

Glad to hear it & as I expected!

You replace corrupt files in the winsxs folder via the method I used here and your system files remain secured under trusted installer. If all the winsxs folders and their contents are intact, then running sfc /scannow replaces the missing or corrupt folders/files in the appropriate place(s), creates hard links if needed in the syswow folder, syswow64 folder & others.

I believe your upgrade test will succeed now. Are you upgrading to Win10? If so run View attachment Disk Cleanup Extended.bat with all boxed checked before you do. Will speed the upgrade process up.
