WIndows 7 installation from harddrive.

Hey i got problemy all my dvd-rw have died...

Any way i got this question i want to reinstall and i was wondering i got install files on D: ready and on C: i still got 7100 RC i want to install it on same drive if im not wrong old windows will be moved to folder windows.old right? so later i just delete windows.old and it will be fine right?

In earlier windows i could enter dos and click on setup exe and install from hd why its no longer possible :(

Yes, that will work so long as the drive you are trying to install Windows on has enough free space.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.

Ok thx good to know all old files from rc 7100 will be in this windows.old folder :)

Any way i forgot to mention i will be installing 7600 that's fine right?

Also i think i tortured/tested 7100 too much i quess everything can be broken still it works better than anything :D

One last question is there a live cd that will allow me to install 64 bit windows? as we know from live cd that is 32bit you can't start instalation of 64bit OS that's a damn shame...

I wanted to try it qith Linux live cd but im not sure and i could not find any windows live cd x64 so my question is if any body did try this with linux live cd 64bit to install windows x64 from hd?
