Hello, I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a blank new computer I purchased at an auction. I get to the installing Windows part and I get this message. How should I resolve this?
6 pata Ide HD's & 2 Sata HD's

There weren't any installation steps for me to follow.
The computer originally booted from Nvidia Boot. I changed that to boot from the CD Rom.
After that, the message I posted.
Check out this tutorial. Several sections down thru it, shows a Red Box section where you have the option to delete HD partition & then make a new partition, then Format the new partition.

That error can mean that the BIOS is set to UEFI boot, so tap the key given on first screen to enter BIOS setup, look for any settings to disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Mode or CSM, save settings and exit. This will Bypass UEFI to Install WIn7.
If it fails again follow the steps in the blue link to wipe the HD before install.
