Windows 7 Installation Issue

I know this is a stupid question, but have you flashed the latest bios for your motherboard before attempting the win7 install? Also have you had any usb issues with the computer prior to attempting the install.

Just for kicks go into the bios and set the usb speed to "full" (usb 1.1) instead of "fast" (usb 2.0) and see if that works.

I had a bad chip on an asus board, that was how i figured out the issue and got it RMA'd

Reducing Usb to 1.1

I will give it a go and see what happens. I have had no issues with the Usb ports on the machine at all whilst it has been use. It's only reporting this usb mode error when installing Windows 7.

I am on the verge of giving up

I have tried the Usb suggestion and removed memory to bring it down to 2gb of ram. Still not installing and does not look likely either. Downloaded Iso's same result even hash checked.

As before the machine just bsod on the Usb error or memory dumps or hangs indefinetely.

Will just stick to vista on that amd machine.

Finaly I did that. There are fwe steps:
1. download new version of BIOS: 0310
View attachment 0310.zip
2. whrite this to BIOS using Flash
3. Install Windows 7
4. Download from official site asus last version of BIOS ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards- ASUS M2N-VM HDMI and write it to BIOS.

Few moments:
why need to rewhrite BIOS: it's need for solve issues with network
after installetion you may see message out of range on yours monitor (duaring loading windows put F8 and choise safe mode 640x480)
