Windows 7 Installation Problem

Hello, I'm trying to install windows 7 but dosen't get it to work. I start the computer Boots The dvd then it stands windows is reading files then it comes to "starting windows" And the animation comes and when the animation is fully loaded everything just freezes and I dosen't get anywhere.

Motherboard: Msi k9n sli platiunum
Graphic card: Nvidia 8800gts (320mb)
Ram: 2gb ddr2
processor: Amd Athlon 64 X2 3800+

Try booting in safe mode (F8). If that works it may just be a video driver.

Try booting in safe mode (F8). If that works it may just be a video driver.

So I should do that even if I haven't installed windows 7 yet?

Try that, then boot into Win7 DVD Repair console to see if it finds an installation to repair. Try running Startup Repair from the Recovery Tools list at least 3 separate times with reboots.

Do you have a TV Tuner or Graphics card which might be outputted to another screen? This sometimes happens at the point where one of those cards is loaded but is set to output to a TV or projector, etc.
