Hello despoticdevil, welcome to Seven Forums!

As you say you have on-board VGA are you going into the PC BIOS and setting it back to VGA for the install?

Does the install hang at the first screen, or complete several restarts before hanging in the final stages?

Is there something specific which makes you think the problem is the PCI video card?

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version update from SUpport Downloads webpage for your computer or mobo model. If so, reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

Also in BIOS setup, set the SATA controller setting to AHCI first, then IDE if necessary.

Remove all but 2gb of RAM, test your RAM using memtest86 CD for 5-6 passes, swap your RAM sticks.
