Hi,

I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate as a dual boot alongside WinXP SP2.
There were a few minor hiccups (I got the bootmgr is compressed message after installing) during installation but they were easily sorted out.

XP has not been at all affected

I log in to windows 7 to find that it can't pick up my ethernet cable and therefore cannot connect to the internet. It also cannot detect my printer or speakers. I am sure there are other problems aswell. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Assumption: Dual boot install is properly installed.

There is no connection between being a dual boot system and the problems you describe.

The problems you describe appear to be Driver Not Installed. Look in Control Panel / Device Manager. Are the failing devices listed with splats?
