Windows 7 is a not printing with dell aio printer

Just got windows 7 on dell 530 asprion. Did a clean download with windows 7 --had some storage memory problems--- but got that corrected . 7 works great runs nice but i am getting a problem from my dell aio 948 printer connecting to my documents i need to print. Finally got it to print after hours of tech support. Next day was printing from mail merge on works 9 problem returns and now still dont get print command connection.

As for a dell aio 948 if you have one they will give you a message in the right corner in front of your document showing you ready capacity to print using aio's ink jet system

printer prints and i get a nice copy of my document

unfortunatly when i start to print my document off of the file menu i choose print then get my preference window-- choose "ok"-- get a flash of a tiny download window -- possibley to say that the document has been seen and will be sent to the printer-- and that's the last command the computer shows -- my lower right capicity window does not show on the monitor as usual-- and no printing connection takes place

no paper goes through the printer either

sounds like a easy enough problem to fix --- print command just doesn't tell the aio that there is something ready to print--- but where do i go to fix the problem ?

Anyone know about ?

I'm running the aio 948 on a test bed with win7 and haven't had problems other than to not let windows update load a new driver. It's old. Did you get win7 drivers from dell??

Did up load Windows 7 driver and did run a printed copy from test page and a stored document.

But, once I tried to use mail merge couldn't get print on paper and through the printer.

Settings change seemed to not connect print message to printer.

What would cause disconnect ?

Have you heard of this being a problem with Windows 7 ?

Windows 7 and AIO 948 - Problem solved!

I have been having difficulties with my iPhone and Windows 7 - I had given up on the AIO 948 and hung it off my laptop which is running XP. I read where ther Gigabyte BIOS upgrade (Version 7) would fix the iPhone problem - it did and also fixed the AIO 948 problem as well. I had to get my grandson to do the BIOS upgrade - his 32 Gig Thumb Drive replaced the floppy drive - the upgrade is 2Mg and he understood what was needed - I didn't! The printer keeps wanting to print a test page - does anyone know where I can turn this off?
