Windows 7 keeps freezing

I upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista a few days ago. The boot time has nearly doubled, and everything I click on freezes. When I'm on Firefox and try to go to a certain website, it crashes. When I stick in an SD card and then try to eject it, the whole computer freezes. I can't change the volume on the laptop without windows explorer restarting. This never happened when I had Vista. I hate it. Is there any way I can go back to Vista, or is there anything I can do to prevent the crashes and freezes from happening? Thanks.

I had the same problem on a clean install.
Went to the M$ updates .. And got an updated driver for my SATA HDDs.
That seemed to fix my problem.
