Windows 7 Licensing Multiple Computers

Hi there first time posting here.. yes i have a question.
I acquired the legitimate Windows 7 Ultimate and received 2xdiscs in the box, one is 32 bit and the other is 64 bit.
I am currently running the 64bit on my other PC which i purchased it for.. Now i have another computer i use for everyday things which still has XP Pro on it.. I was wondering can i use the 32bit on this PC and use the same product key that is used for both discs? I will only be using using either PC.. The discs will not be used anywhere else except on my two PC's

Welcome Sawcross to the windows 7 forum.

The answer is NO, Microsoft provides the both versions for single use, but not both 32/64. The Product key will only work on one machine.

Hi -- Welcome to Seven Forums. No, you may only use a Product Key one at a time. If you uninstall the 64 bit, you could then install the 32 bit, but you can't use them both at the same time. Thanks,

The microsoft license indicated by the COA sticker is the proof of license and in your case you had only one COA containing one serial no. So legally you should use this software only on one computer.

x32 and x64 DVDs are given to you for convenience sake so that you may use either one on one computer but not on more than one computer.

If you wants to install windows 7 on another computer, you may use the DVDs for installation sake but legally you should buy one more license separately for the second computer.

You can contact a microsoft authorized seller for additional licenses.
