Windows 7 live cd is possible?

is it possible to boot windows 7 on a live usb disk ? the reason is because im buying a used laptop that doesn't have an operating system and i need to boot windows 7 to install a program to check the specs unless there's another way to check.

If you're familar with Linux you can burn Peppermint3 - Create Live CD/DVD/USB To Use For Emergency Backup - Windows 7 Forums.

Otherwise you can google the serial given for your hard drive under Storage devices in BIOS setup, and see the installed RAM amount there, possibly even test them. The key to access BIOS Setup will be shown on first screen at startup.

You can also google the full make and model from sticker on PC + specs to see the processor and shipped specs

Not all flash drives work though. I tried a 16GB Kingstion DataTraveler G4 USB 3.0 and it didn't work.

Bought a 16GB SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 CZ80 and it worked perfectly and I can now boot Windows 8 from a flash drive. It runs well.

Go to website the for the make and model of the laptop, type it in their search bar, it will bring up the specs.

Doesn`t the seller know anything about the specs ?
