When I send a couple of emails they go into the OUTBOX but one will go and the second one wont. The Send and Receive box comes up showing the message is executing. There is a green bar showing across the box as if all is going well but above the green bar 'not connected' is showing. If I reboot the computer the email that is left in the OUTBOX then is sent. I have been through all of the set up but cannot find anything untoward. I am now at a loss of how to remedy this problem. HELP!!!

Here is an MS article with suggestions you can work through:
Windows Live Mail says "Not Connected." Why?

Some suggestions depend on your version of WLM, the Email provider, and Anti-Virus program.

If this article doesn't help, post specifics for your WLM version, Email provider, and Anti-Virus program (and other security programs) and i'll see if i can find something else.

Try using the repair option that is in the link DavidE posted.

Here is how to repair mail programme.
For Windows Vista/7:
1. Click the Start menu.

4. Click Programs and Features.
5. Search for Windows Live Essentials on the list and then select it.
6. Click Uninstall/Change.

Did you work through the article in post #2 ?
Some of it is specific to Comcast email provider.

If you have a different email provider, you should check their required settings.
You may also need to contact them for specific instructions.

Sometimes an email provider makes changes, and the user needs to adjust settings to keep things working ...
at&t and other providers have done that to me ;)
