Solved Windows 7 logon sound

Hi,

Can any kind person please tell me how I can change the logon sound?

I want to use part of a particular song to put on a laptop being given to my daughter. I know it has to be wav file but have no idea how long the segment has to be and also how to "get" that particular segment to work?

If any person can advise me of how to achieve something that "seems" to be simple, it would be much appreciated.

Did you mean the startup sound (when Windows starts up) or logon sound?
