windows 7 long "starting windows" screen time and froze disk check

So I just built my new pc 2 days ago my computer will boot up but I get a realllllly long "starting windows" screen sometimes it just freezes there and I have to hard reset it, if it passes that then it goes into a disk check where it freezes every time after all 3 steps are done any suggestions?

I am assuming you are not able to get to the desktop ??

Are you able to get to safemode ??

-To avoid this problem you shoud perform "clean boot" by doing following...

-Start the computer in safe mode and check if you can boot to your desktop normally
-in the search box Type msconfig , and then click msconfig.
-in the Services tab click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and click Disable all.
-in the Startup tab , for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
-Close Task Manager.
-On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click OK, and then restart the computer.

I can get to the desktop SOMETIMES if it gets past the starting windows screen and I skip the disk check it will go to the desktop, no I cant boot into safe mode. If it makes a difference my OS is installed on my ssd and the disk check is for my HDD

Please run Crystal Disk and post a snapshot of the SMART values here for each HDD/SSD

Second Please run Autoruns and then click on File> Save.. Save the file in .arn format and upload here. Will have a look

I think my HD is DOA so I cant test that, it will show up sometimes and won't show up other times, so I think it might be DOA

and how do i upload an arn file?

put the .arn in a zip file and upload here

as i thought the HD was bad, but that still shouldnt make the "starting windows" screen hang or freeze should it? As my OS is installed on my SSD

Well it says for itself... remove it from the system and see for yourself...

Is the paging file installed in HDD ??

paging file? what do you mean by that? Sorry I'm good with computers but not THAT literate, and thank you very much for the quick response times.

in a much simpler term... paging file is one of the memory-management schemes by which a computer can store and retrieve data from secondary storage for use in main memory..

how would I find out if the paging file is installed on it?

click on start and on the search bar .. type "view advance system settings"

Then under Performance click Settings

Then select the Advanced Tab and under Virtual Memory click on Change

And there you will see which drive has it and whether its system managed.... etc,...

well I guess, let me try a reboot and see if it still takes a while to get past the "starting windows" screen

Well remove the HDD that is bad.. and reboot.

ok i tried rebooting, without the HDD. It says "reboot and select a proper boot device" so i plugged it back in, and it went back to the starting windows screen and stayed there for a few minutes and finally went to login screen, so I did a little test, I rebooted it again and it went to the starting windows screen but when it was there i unplugged the hard drive and it still stayed at the starting windows screen for a few minutes, then it went right into the login screen, this doesnt make sense to me?

Ok so heres the thing if I keep the HDD plugged in on the starting windows screen it either freezes or its just taking an extreeeeeemely long time to get past it. If I unplug the hard drive in this screen it goes right into the login page

unplug the HDD and do a clean installation of Windows 7.. it will be back to normal.
