windows 7 MIC

Hello,
My mic is not working.....it is a desktop mic.
When i right click on sound
a green tick mark is present and is set as default....
But still it does not recognize my voice....and am not able speak /use skype!
This mic worked well when i was using XP....
It has become a big headache,i have been able to talk with my distant relatives because of this!

Is your microphone compatible with HD Audio, if that's what you're using, and also compatible with Windows7 too? Some microphones are USB and may not be recognised by the operating system without a valid driver.

Check you haven't got it muted by accident in volume control, or within your sound drivers software interface...

Your system specifications are pure nonsense, so how can anyone seriously help you out?

no not muted! its not usb...its connected to pink port!

I have updated it with necessary field required to be dealt with Microphone!
I am sure that would not play a role not even a cheap role in dealing with Minor MIC adjustments...
Anyways....i have filled out that....

Hello,
I have found out a solution.I downloaded the latest drivers for my creative speaker which means windows 7 was not able to install complete driver support for me!
Now my MIC is working fine!
So now i am ending this thread by telling whoever have any problems related to driver just disable windows 7 installing a driver for rather you yourself download drivers.
