What is requiring you to reboot? What program.
What are you doing on the computer when this message is shown?

Explain what Outlook Express has to do with the rebooting.

Thanks for your reply. The message (in a small window with 3 options, one of which tells me to click on it to re-start it) just appears as I am working with my messages after a period of time? Not sure how long though ,but does not seem long after I open WLM and work through a number of messages?
I assume it is WLM itself that is displaying the window?
OE was the program I was using with my old XP machine,& I just used it to compare results of operating each ie OE just never told me it had closed automatically and needed to re-start as WLM is doing fairly regularly at least once during each session on WLM, if I am going through a list of messages?
I was wondering if it was just me or if anyone else was experiencing this problem too?
I have not long been using W7 and WLM so still a bit lost with it all.

Put aside the old XP hat.
We need to know what concerns you are having using Windows 7.

Is Windows7 requesting the restart or is WLM requesting the restart?
We need to know what is requesting what.
What you are doing on your computer when the request appears.
You state the request gives you 3 options but you don't tell us what those options are.
We need exact information so we can help you best.

Use this tutorial by Brink to post a picture of this small window with the request.

WLM stops working regularly needs re-starting?

Thanks for your answer Layback Bear, appreciated.I hope my attachment of the screen shot comes across ok.There are 3 options given in the window from WLM,
1)Check online for solution
2)Restart program
3)Debug program
It is a bit vague unless you magnify somewhat.
Hope you can clarify ?

You could probably set up Thunderbird to work with you WLM account. It's similar to Outlook and very stable.

Sorry everybody, still new to this, and I just realized my error in my messages, which is that it is W7 I am having crashes with and it should have been WLM itself that is stopping fairly regularly (NOT W7), and needing me to click on one of 3 options in the little window that then comes up ie 1) to check online for a solution, 2) re-start WLM, & 3) to debug the program .
The suggestion to use Thunderbird is no good for me as I have tried it first when I went from XP to W7,& I could never find a way to send an e-mail to a group of recipients by selecting them from a list and adding them to the Bcc etc, as it is possible to do easily in WLM and as it was even easier in Outlook Express?
I have WLM folders all set up now about as well as I can with the OE folders copied across,so I really do not want to change again now.
It is not a big deal to restart WLM,each time, but it is a bit annoying and I am also curious that it is happening & why,and I would like to know if it is just me or if it is happening to anyone else as well?

Did you check for AddOns? There are user-written AddOns for Thunderbird just like for Firefox that add features.

First let's check your PC for malware since the underlying windows seems to indicate there is a spam overload.

Download, install, decline Trial version, update and Run full scans with Malwarebytes
and SUPERAntiSpyware scanners which are good to have on hand in case of suspected infections.

Then I would consider using the more stable email client suggested if you can't use a webmail like most others do, or reinstall Windows Live Mail setting it up from scratch since you may have bad settings as well as corrupt Add-Ons as suggested.
