Not sure if this is a networking solution but here's my problem

I had a windows 7 & XP machine at work, both running MYOB retailmanager. I managed to have both computers using one cash drawer by using Net use on the XP machine to connect to the windows 7 main machine (MYOB only supports cash drawers that are connected to a single receipt printer)

I mapped it to LPT1 and it worked great

When I upgraded my XP machine to windows 7, it no longer works. It says completed successfully but MYOB doesnt see LPT1 as an option (where XP it did). There were no changes to my main windows 7 machine whatsoever but it just doesnt work. Is it a new security setting in windows 7 that stops it working?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to Seven Forums,

I'd try updating the printer driver (Windows 7) to the latest by downloading it to the manufacturer's site. If that didn't work, there are universal printer (i.e. LaserJet, deskjet, etc...) that you may try and install which is part of Windows 7.
