I installed win 7 on my lenovo laptop today and am getting to see the win 7 logo. but after that i get a NDIS.SYS error. i try to do a system restore and start up repair and non of them work. after that i also tried to install vista on it, but it also had a same no boot error and showed that it might be caused due to a hardware. i installed them both using a USB DVD ROM. when i searched in Google for the answers it showed that this occurs due to hardware not being properly detected and installed. Please help me with it.

This issue can be caused by the driver for your LAN card.

See if you can access the Device manager during install using this method to disable your Network Adapter for LAN: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/15856-device-manager-access-during-windows-7-installation.html

If this fails try removing your LAN card, or disabling in BIOS before install.

If you are trying an in-place Upgrade from Vista, try instead a clean install booting from the DVD, using Custom>Drive Options to delete, repartition and format the HD: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
