Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/234159-windows-genuine-activation-issue-posting-instructions.html

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Sorry - missed the response! :(
Code:

Typically, this error is caused by over-zealous security software.
What anti-virus and other security solutions are installed?
Are you using any form of Registry cleaner/optimiser?

That could be it - I have seen occasions where Kaspersky has killed essential access like this.
How long has this particular version been installed? What was on there previously?

This is the line in slmgr that is generating the error...
Code:
    For Each objProduct in GetProductCollection(ProductIsPrimarySkuSelectClause & ", " & _
This relates to the following function...
Code:
Function GetProductCollection(strSelect, strWhere)
    Dim colProducts
    On Error Resume Next
    If strWhere = EmptyWhereClause Then
        Set colProducts = g_objWMIService.ExecQuery("SELECT " & strSelect & " FROM " & ProductClass)
        QuitIfError()
    Else
        Set colProducts = g_objWMIService.ExecQuery("SELECT " & strSelect & " FROM " & ProductClass & " WHERE " & strWhere)
        QuitIfError()
        End If
    set GetProductCollection = colProducts
End Function
...which is where slmgr queries the registry to discover the installed product data.

So, either slmgr doesn't have the proper permissions to do the job in the first place, or something has corrupted the permissions on the relevant registry keys.

Let's have a look at the Event logs - they may show where things are going astray.

Open Event Viewer
click on the Windows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.
Now click on the Application entry - wait while it loads.
Click on 'File' in the menu bar and select Save...
Save the file as Appevt.evtx
Repeat for the System log
then zip both, and upload them.
