All was fine until about a week ago, Windows 7 automatically updated itself.....
Now, every time I boot the computer, my monitor is no longer recognised and I get a 'generic' pnp adapter showing poor resolution. When I click on Change Resolution and then 'Detect', it immediately finds the correct monitor and resets the resolution to the right (high) settings, but 'Apply' is greyed-out and on rebooting, the same low resolution problem recurs.....
Is there any way to 'force' Windows 7 to remember the monitor and correct settings, or force it to auto-detect the monitor on start-up?
Thanks for any help.
