Hi guys,

wasn't really sure what forum to put this in.

I'm having a problem with Windows 7 shutting down. When I press shut down, it shuts down as normal. However it won't power off. Mouse, keyboard, display and everything shut off, but the fan keeps blowing and the computer itself won't turn off.

I did a fresh install and have the same problem. Any ideas?

Asus P5KR, Q9400 CPU, using build 7100.

Thanks in advance for any info.

As well as all drivers for your hardware?

Look in your "Power Options" (control panel) ... Create a power plan, then 'apply and okay' your way out. Reboot/restart your computer and see if it works with your new settings.

i think you had a problem with your hardware., or your board connection is grounded., try to check the board reset or power socket., or take the bios batt off for 2 to 3 mins to return to default setting., then set the bios up.,.
